Cyclone table by Noguchi
After a trip to Japan where he saw several objects made of plastic and polyurethane, Noguchi created a stool made of similar materials. "In 1954 I made a rocking chair that Hans Knoll liked. I thought of making it out of plastic, but he preferred a wire design, like Bertoia. He asked me to turn the chair into a table." which made the transformation from plastic to wire and went to large sizes, the Cyclone table was added to the Bertoia collection for several years. The table was discontinued in 1974, but was relaunched in 2003 in collaboration with the Noguchi Foundation, the design being meticulously reproduced using Noguchi's original illustrations.
