Chandelier Hopper
Design: Martyn Lawrence Bullard
The inspiration for the chandelier came when Martyn Lawrence Bullard moved to a 1920s Hollywood villa inhabited by actor Dennis Hopper in the 1960s. Named after an actor, artist and art collector, this piece has a beautiful synergy between the two parts of its brass leaves. The part that supports the white glass illuminators like the grains in a pod has a beautiful, black, brass finish, while the reverse has been painted up to a beautiful, smooth natural black. Striking and minimal, evoking nature and mid-century modernism, the Hopper chandelier is powerful and unique.
