Blow Up Umbrella Holder
Steel sticks arranged almost randomly give life to poetic and unexpected forms. Humberto Campana, lawyer, and Fernando Campana, architect, have been working together in Sao Paulo since 1983 in the field of artistic design. The use of poor materials and industrial waste contributes to their radical vision. Manual labor represents the possibility of social redemption in a poor country. Their intention is to find a Brazilian way to design. In Italy they designed lamps for O Luce in 1997. They appear with various pieces in the International Year of Design 1997, edited by Philippe Starck. In 1998, Moma in New York dedicated an exhibition "Progetto 66" to them together with Ingo Maurer.
